Point 1 - The Context
The Gold Coast Titans sat in 17th on the NRL ladder heading into Round 15. However, their attack hadn’t been the problem up to this point. Their NRL-worst 382 points against had them fixed to the bottom.
However, against the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles, it all came together on both sides of the ball for the Titans to register a 28-8 win. They played with a clear plan in attack which could yet feature again in 2026.
Point 2 - The Shape
When looking through the Gold Coast Titans first three tries, it might look as though the scored in different ways.
Kieran Foran is a common feature. On a long shift from outside the scrum line, he floats a beautiful pass over the top of the defence for Alan Fitzgibbon to score their first in the corner.

Getting the defence to travel while working out of yardage, the Titans catch Jake Trbojevic late back to the line which creates space on the edge for the second.
Foran is again involved, this time with a pass across the face of his backrower. But it’s a moment of individual brilliance that ultimately ends with Alofiana Khan-Pereira diving over in the other corner.

Shortly after, the Titans are back in attacking territory.
AJ Brimson does a great job to move on the pass and extend the play as Jason Saab tries to jam on him. Finding Khan-Pereira out wide, the Sea Eagles defence scrambles. The Titans winger is too quick and wrong-foots the whole right edge as he cuts back inside to score another impressive individual try.

While all three end in a different fashion, there is one thing they all have in common.
Point 3 - The Trigger
The pivotal moment and indication of their plan comes through in Foran’s role.
